Chatsworth

We went to Chatsworth which is Pemberly in Pride and Prejudice. Do you recognize the statue on the left and the stairs behind the picture of mom and me?

Stratford on Avon

We rode a bus to Stratford, where Shakespear was born and lived. We were gone all day. We watched A Winter's Tale and didn't get home until 1:30 in the morning.

SOUTHALL

We took the train to South Hall. A lot of people from India live there. We went to a Sikh temple and sat on the floor and heard them read their scriptures. We had to cover our heads. They give everyone who comes to worship with them lunch. D-dad helped them serve for a little while. The Sikhs are good people. They believe in one God, modesty, temple worship, not drinking alcohol, and serving others. They cover their heads to show reverence to God. You can see me receiving some fruit from the guy in front. They do that to show God answers prayers. Sometimes after children pray, mothers put treats under their pillow.

CANTEBURY AND DOVER

I like to go on bus trips with the students. In fact I like to go anywhere the students go.

I liked the castle in Dover a lot because we got to watch the King and his ward. We saw knights and friars too. But I did have to walk up and down a lot of stairs.

DID I TELL YOU THAT WE HAD LUNCH IN FRANCE AND WAFFLES IN BELGIUM?

We went with our friends Paul and Jaelynne Evans on a boat over to France. Can you see the White Cliffs of Dover? We drove a car to the beach. Then we drove over to another country called Belgium. I really wanted to ride in the carriage behind the horse, and not just because I was tired of walking. Mom and D-dad finally said, "Yes." We came home the same night really late.

DENNY AND LINDA BRIMHALL VISITED US IN LONDON

Denny and Linda Brimhall visited us. They bought us pastries and Linda played games with me every night. Of course we walked a lot too.

A QUICK TRIP TO CONNECTICUT

Mom and I got to see the Davis family. We had a birthday/Christmas party, sort of; anyway we opened presents. We ate Thai food, (I love pad thai noodles) dressed up Charlie when the parents were out of town (cause we baby sat the kids for a couple of days), and when they got back, we went to the beach. So cool!

Check out the cool airport in Dakota where we had a layover on the way back to London.
